It is three months this week since we arrived in Hobart, four weeks since we moved into our new house. I’m holding out hope that one day soon I will actually have time to sit down and write a proper blog post again – there is so much that I want to say, and so few hours in the day – but in the meantime, I thought I’d share some photos of what we’ve been up to.
Admiring the colours of spring.
Making friends with the ArtBike people – cool metal statues around town for chaining your bike to.
Taking time to reflect, and admire the art, at the International Wall of Friendship.
Moongazing.
Twitching.
Seeking out street art.
Face painting at the Lazy May Market in Taroona.
Scoffing sweet, juicy Tasmanian cherries.
Discovering the joys of having a beach five minutes away.
Sigh. Cherry season. Christmas is upon us!
Lovely pics, gosh I miss that Tasmanian light there’s nothing like it anywhere I don’t think.
I love you, Mrs. D, but your blog is starting to bring out the green-eyed monster in me! It all looks so amazing and I’m so happy for little Dorky that he gets to grow up in such an incredible environment.
So as we settle into winter, you look at the blossom…. Our turn will come!
Looks lovely I must admit.
wonderful. what a beautiful place. keep enjoying every moment.
Stunning pictures! I would love to visit one day!
I don’t know which photo fills me with the most joy – the funky art ones, the gorgeous bird, your little boy, the beach….just wonderful.
Beautiful. I love how close the beach is.
Not in the least bit jealous as I wander around the garden moving anything which may take off in tonight’s 80-90mph winds 🙂
Love the last picture – running at the gulls is always a good game and I like the way you’ve captured Dorkyson with both feet off the ground!
Beautiful pics – glad you are settling in and looking forward to your 1st Aussie Christmas! X
Fabulous pictures, looks like a wonderfully creative town- adore the bike people especially!
Awww looks wonderful!
I think you are my new favourite blogger to read in the winter – however gloomy it is here, it’s always going to be bright and pretty there!
Fabulous…. it looks so wonderful, and that photo of the moon – simply wowsers. I’m totally with Actually Mummy, when it starts getting really cold and snowy, I know which blog I am coming to to warm up my fingers and toes – yours! Great shots. X
Looks amazing! Love the Artbike people 🙂

I wish I could move there too, it all looks so fabulous and idyllic. I can’t believe it’s already 3 months you’ve been gone. Our parcel has arrived, thank you so much, the present will go under the tree, it doesn’t seem right to open it before 🙂
*SIGH* XX
Gorgeous gorgeous images.
I am not jealous at all. I am not. Really.
Looks so idyllic. I am loving the face painting – that is so good.
Oh Ruth, it looks AMAZING and those bike statues are fantastic. xxx
Wow. Absolutely stunning. I can’t imagine celebrating Christmas in the sun though!
All so lovely – beautiful. I love having ab each close by too – though ours is a bit greyer and windswept at the moment. Lovely to see you all settling in x
Such beautiful photos! Don’t feel guilty about not having time to write- pictures can speak a thousand words! 🙂
So lovely to see pics of loveliness whilst we’re surrounded by quite a lot of grey over here 🙂
Ah lovely. Feels like a slice of summer as I sit here reading this staring at pouring rain outside.
