I was so chuffed to see my old buddies Ben and Jerry in the news this week, supporting the equal marriage campaign. They have partnered with Stonewall to rename their Oh My Apple Pie flavour Apple-y Ever After. A Ben and Jerry’s Facebook app invites you to ‘marry’ someone of the same sex, and they’ve got a template letter up online for emailing your MP in support of same sex marriage.

Happy International Women’s Day
I will confess, I used to be a bit squeamish about calling myself a feminist. I thought it meant that I had to stop shaving my legs and wearing a bra, neither of which I’m prepared to do. I don’t know if you’ve been paying any attention to the stramash around the Scottish Independence referendum? In my corner of the world, it has been hard not to. There has been a lot going on. David Cameron has been sticking his big old neb in, the Scottish Government have released a draft consultation document, and the tartan blogosphere is talking itself round in circles.
