I am so pleased! I have found some graffiti in Harpenden!
I don’t know what it says about me that I’ve been missing the scuzzy old painted walls and the illegible tags of Edinburgh, but I have. I don’t feel like I’ve got to the soul of a place until I’ve seen what its street artists and discontented youth are inclined to scribble across its blank surfaces.
So when I was wandering into town this week and my eye was caught by some black text stencilled on the wall of the wine store, I was thrilled. I ambled up for a closer look. And it was this:
Well.
It’s a start, I suppose…
Errrr, the youths of Harpenden are obviously a heck of a lot posher than the youths of Edinburgh (and with Wester Hailes, that wouldn’t be difficult!)
As far as rebellion goes, I’m not impressed. Far too neat and intelligent 😉
I love this – if only it could all be like this not pictures of willies and badly spelled swearing.
I LOVE that you’ve found this here. I know exactly what you mean. I miss it too. 😉
This is brilliant. Nice and clear, with correct punctuation. All graffiti should be like this!
Ha! If only!
